After getting slammed by Haynesworth during the Redskins game, many questions have surfaced regarding the status of Tom Brady's shoulder. As a lover (or hater) of one of the best QB's to ever touch a football, what is your take on the ordeal? Is the whole thing hyped up or should the Patriots start looking for another Matt Cassel-esque replacement? | |
| | Cassel and Vrabel to the Chiefs... | | Well, the deal is done. Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel both were traded to the Chiefs the other day for a second round draft pick. Wow. This is kind of a let-down. The upside is that the Patriots got[i]something[/i] for Cassel as opposed to losing him to free agency. They also freed up some space with the salary cap. However, the salary cap space they freed up is space that they filled up by putting the franchise tag on Cassel in the first place. So that really isn't much of a gain at all.It is a sad thing to see Vrabel go, too. He did some great stuff for the team while he was here. However, he is getting older and didn't have a great season last year. I can only hope that Brady is at full strength (as they would not likely have traded Cassel if he wasn't, this should be covered) and that they can find some younger talent to fill in the holes that were apparent on the defense last season. | |

| | the ny jets suck!! | | I am speaking as a new yorker. I am not a jets fan. But as a fan of sports in general, this team is total garbage. They go on the road and beat at the time an undefeated Tennessee Titans team in their own building. And what do they do after that, they loose 3 out of their next 4 games. I guess the reason I'm really pisses off is that I had money on the game. But as a fan, I look at how their easy schedule was designed for them to make the playoffs this year. And now they need the Patriots to loose next week so they can get the wildcard. They don't deserve it. This team needs to be kicked out of the league. And Eric Mangini has to be terminated!! | |

| | Brady Out For Season??!? | | I was watching the Patriots game yesterday afternoon and was in total shock to see Tom Brady fall to the ground in pain. I was so hoping he was okay and then heard he won't be back for the rest of the season. I'm really hoping he is okay and he will be able to return before the end of the season. So free agent Chris Simms was going to New England for practice and stuff and definately could be the one stepping in for Brady. We're still going to make a super bowl run and hopefully will win it all:) | |
