| Toronto Maple Leafs 2009-2010 | | This summer, the Maple Leafs have changed up their roster a lot, added some young prospects, and recently signed Phil Kessel. Does anyone have any opinion on whether or not these changes are going to make lasting gains (in the win column) for the Leafs this season and beyond? They had to give up a couple of 1st round draft picks and a 2nd draft pick in order to sign Kessel (plus, he didn't come cheap). I think they'll make the play-offs this year, but I'm not expecting a run for the Stanley Cup. | |

| 2007-04-05 Toronto Maple Leafs at New York Islanders | | Well the Leafs can't afford to lose today and I don't think they will. I am hoping that the Islanders have packed it in, and aren't even bothering anymore.I really hope the Leafs don't show their blue and start choking like they so often do at the most inappropriate times.The Leafs also will be looking for revenge from the last time they faced the Islanders. In fact, if they miss the Playoffs by 1 point, I am blaming that one game.What are your thoughts? | |
| | 2007-03-27 Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Carolina Hurricanes | | The Leafs need just about every game left.
This one especially, as if they win in regulation, they will catch the Hurricanes.I personally, have a bad feeling they are going to choke tonight. They beat the Devils and Sabres when all hope was lost. They ended last season on a hot streak the day after they were officially eliminated, but a game like this, they have to lose. It seems like a trend (I pray that I am wrong).In fact, I'm going to say if they can come away with a decisive victory tonight, they will overcome the odds in the last two weeks and get into the playoffs. If not, then in my opinion, their season ends tonight.What are your thoughts? | |

| | 2007-03-13 Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Tampa Bay Lightning | | I think the Leafs have an advantage tonight, the Lightning are concluding their 6 game road trip, and may be looking past the Leafs as they finish the season with 8 out of 11 games at home.Toronto traditionally has done well against the Lightning and may want this game more than they do as they fight for a playoff spot.I think the Leafs will win in a nail-biter, and I give them a 55% chance of winning.What are your thoughts? | |
