| | The Phoenix Suns remained unbeaten at home | | Though they have already lost grip of the lead in the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns still continues it's impressive stretch for the 2009-2010 season after they won their 9th home game of the season against no losses. Steve Nash came up big with 25 points and 13 assists against former short time rivals San Antonio Spurs in leading the Suns to a 116-104 win. Amare Stoudemire also had a big night finishing with 28 points and 14 rebounds. The biggest boost for the Suns though was back up point guard Goran Dragic. Dragic, playing as Nash's reliever, finished with 18 points in 7/9 shooting, 4/5 from threes. Channing Frye also had a decent night finishing with 15 points and 8 rebounds and hit 3/4 from beyond the arc. The Suns survived Tim Duncan's 34 points and 14 rebounds night. Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili struggled as both combined for a total of 22 points in a mere 6/19 shooting from the field.Phoenix now holds a 17-8 record and is the best home team so far for the 2009-2010 season. They are 4th overall in the West behind the defending champions and division rivals Los Angeles Lakers (19-4), and powerhouses Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks (both at 18-7). Should the... | |
| | Phoenix Suns | | Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns aren't running quite as much as they thought they would this season, but are still scoring at a high rate and seem satisfied with the tempo. Obviously mix of players has something to do with it as well Amare and Frye are not the same front court speed demons that Amare and Marrion back in 2005 were. One more thing is the bench today is really a big factor. Dudley and Amundson hustle and defense is fantastic... Once again Suns is the team to beat in the West and have a very good chance in winning title this year. | |
| | Did anyone watch Shaq O'Neal Debut with the Phoenix Suns? | | It was the showdown of two former championship teammates who turned into bitter rivals.Shaq and the Phoenix Suns were hosting Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. This was also Shaq's debut in a Sun uniform since the blockbuster trade that dealt Shawn Marion to the Miami Heat.Bryant scored 41 points as the Lakers easily beat the Phoenix Suns last night. I watched the game and saw that Shaq had no impact whatsoever on the Suns offense or defense. It was like watching a big MAC truck in the fast lane of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I expected more from him. Maybe it's too early to judge after only one game. What's your take on this? | |
| | | Phoenix Suns 2009-2010 | | Steve Nash is 35 and Grant Hill is 37 and these two seniors are actually leading the Suns right now. Amare Stoudemire seems not to be in his usual form yet but he's getting there. The main problem is that, aside from Nash and Hill's ages, the Suns are somewhat limited to a 6-man rotation. Nash, Hill, Stoudemire, Jason Richardson, Leandro Barbosa, and Channing Frye are the only players who are getting good number of minutes a game. Nash's reliever Goran Dragic and forward Jared Dudley are also getting a good share of minutes but they aren't that reliable that yet. After all these years, I wonder why Steve Kerr haven't made anything to further improve the Suns. They are getting older and they are in fact losing their key players. First was Shawn Marion in exchange for Shaquille O'Neal which eventually turned out to be a bust. The Suns later lost Raja Bell and Boris Diaw, two key players who could at least provide the team a decent defense. As a consolation, Richardson is doing quite well for the Suns but still can't compensate for the loses they had over the years. Frye on the other hand could be a 2009-2010 revelation. Playing as the Suns' main center, Frye have already... | |
| | what about the future of Phoenix Suns in this season? | | I am a super basketball fan,and I like NBA games, especially Phoenix Suns.I like the style they play, their games are full of passion and power, and they let us know what is teamwork, and let us know the importance of teamwork. My favourite player is Steve Nash,I consider he is the best player at the moment, and Amare Stoudemire is a power center,I like. But for times they were beaten by Spurs, especially in last season, all that happened made me feel unfair and angry. And what about this season?I hope that Steve can get his championship,Gold pray them. | |
| | Better chances for NBA title for Phoenix Suns in 2007-2008 | | Phoenix Suns have much better chances this coming season to win the NBA title, given the investigation and clean up of referee ranks of Mafioso connections. The investigation should level the playing field and enable the Suns to shine on their own merits. With sloppy and tainted officiating, efforts of talented athletes like Nash, Amare, Barbosa, Marion, Bell, etc. are an exercise in futility. But let the players decide the outcome of the games, and the Suns will rise above the crowd. | |
