| Will Jim Basillie ever be a NHL owner? | | It became very clear this week that the NHL Board of Governors and Commissioner Gary Bettman are determine not to grant Jim Basillie ownership of any NHL franchise. After striking out with the Penguins and Predators, Balsillie is making a attempt to purchase the troubled Phoenix Coyotes hockey club and re-locate them to Hamilton. But it seems that the other 29 nhl owners and executives are doing everything in their power to prevent this from happening. With a pending judgement coming from a Phoenix judge in a couple of weeks, Balsillie's chances are as slim as can be. Do You think Jim Balsillie will own a NHL team? | |
| | Really? | | Alright this just has to be said. Doesn't anyone find it strange outright weird that the Phoenix Coyotes are doing so well?
Hmmm, I would think the weirdest thing is that the NHL owns the team. What would be the re-sale value of a franchise at the bottom of the league? Nothing. Okay how about a team that is at the top. Or even make it a couple rounds into the playoffs?Well there is my point. Mr. Bettmen I would have to say good show. How about you step aside and let the big boys actually run a league that can do fine on there own without you manipulating the way the standings turn out. Would really like to hear other people's take on this. | |
