| Chris neil of the ottawa senators | | Chris Neil has really suprised me in the 2010 playoffs first round against the pittsburg penguins. He is on the team as a enforcer (fighter) and he is there just for that. They made a really good player out of him as he is open for passes,staying in front of the net,intimidating other players,and scoring goals!

| Game Recap - Feb/03/07 - Toronto Maple Leafs @ Ottawa Senators | | Alright folks, we need to do something to get some activity going on around here! I thought a good way to start would be do game recaps each time, so whoever's around whenever the game's over can go ahead and start the thread, and we can all go ahead and comment on what we thought of the game.Anyway, it was a pretty good game, all things considered. The Leafs jumped out to a 2-0 lead, which they squandered in the 3rd period. The game ended up going to a shootout, with the Leafs eventually prevailing and taking 2 points from a game that seriously never should have gone to overtime to begin with.Protecting a lead has been a problem at times for the Leafs this year, but they escaped with it this time (although they did end up giving a point back to their divisional rival because of poor lead protection).I'll post the official game recap from mapleleafs.com when it becomes available!=) | |

And when I say usual, it is because he has done it for the past two seasons that he has played, both of them with Ottawa.I think he will make it. He is well on his way, especially with the scoring streak that he has right now, 6 goals in 3 games! It's no wonder he has the best plus/minus in the league! | |

| | Series Tied...Will the Wings continue their Game 5 Streak? | | In spite of only winning 1 of 2 in Anaheim, the Wings accomplished the most realistic expectation...winning 1 of the 2 games on the road. I know that it was disappointing to lose Game 4 after playing pretty well through most of it and coming back from being down 3-1, but the series is tied and Detroit has regained the home ice advantage.Game 5s have been luck for the Wings this post season. The game 5s vs Calgary and San Jose were a combined 9-2 victory that lead to a series victory in 6 games. This game is a need to win for the Wings. It will put the players and the fans at ease. Congratulations to the Ottawa Senators who have advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in franchise history. Should the Wings make it to the finals, they will have home ice advantage as Buffalo was the only team that had a better record. Buffalo and Detroit both had 113 points, but Buffalo held the tie breaker to win the President's Trophy. | |
