| | New season is coming up for Montreal Canadiens, what is you opinion? | | They got players, the news players of last year are ready to take the new year and they learn a lot last year. The new new player, gonna learn but i found they do great job in this pre-season. Pacioretty, maxell, weber... this three are pretty good. And for sure the super trio of kovy, plekanec etc... very nice, others too. Just wish koivu gonna be back and do is job like he know how to do! | Eastern Conference Race tightens; Flyers falling fast | | While I didn't listen to or watch the game, I see that the Montreal Canadiens tonight beat out the Philadelphia Flyers 1-0, on a first period goal by Tomas Plekanec. The win gave the Canadiens a 6th place position in the eastern conference, 2 points up on the Bruins and Flyers and 4 points ahead of the Rangers and Thrashers. The alarming concern in this scenario is that the Flyers, having played 78 games, are in danger of not making the playoffs if the Rangers keep winning and they keep losing. The Flyers have currently lost 7 of their last 8 games and falling fast out of playoff contention

And do you think they'll go far in the play offs? I thought they owned the 1st and 2nd period, but stopped playing in the 3rd period until the last few minutes of play. Ottawa could've come back and won the game..thank God they didn't!! I'm hoping they'll go far in the playoffs,who knows? maybe even win the cup? | |
