myLot Discussions| UNC's Tyler Hansbrough Oct 30th first NBA Indiana Pacers game | | For those who are a fan of UNC college basketball or followed Tyler Hansbrough, he has his first NBA game tomorrow with the Pacers. In my opinion, he was one of the best college basketball players. How do you think he will do in his first NBA season.
| | Indiana Pacers - Jamaal Tinsley | | According to a firm statement by Herb Simons, the owner of the Pacers, Jamaal Tinsley will definitely be traded. I for one would be glad to see that short, pudgy guard leave the pacers. He's no where near one of the elite players in the league. Also, having missed half the games last season, he's trying to shed about 20 pounds he's gained. What do you think? | |
| | Shots Fired At Jamaal Tinsley and Company One Person Hurt | | Jamaal Tinsley became another athlete shot at. Luckily for Tinsley he wasn't hit. The pacers guard was with a group of people at a downtown hotel. The shots were fired after leaving Club 9. People must realize that confrontations these days can quickly lead to gunfire not fist fights. Times are changing. | |

| | The New York Knicks wins it's biggest game after more than 13 years! | | After a series of really bad seasons, the New York Knicks seems to head to better days this season. As of this moment, the Knicks holds a 14-20 record and is just a few steps away from making it to the Eastern Conference's top 8. It seems that Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni are really doing wonders for the Knicks already and nothing comes close and better than their recent 132-89 victory over the Indiana Pacers. Yes, the Knicks 43 point win over the Pacers was the largest winning margin they ever had for more than 13 years. The last time the Knicks won a game by at least 43 points was against the Toronto Raptors back in April 15, 1996, the Raptors first season in the NBA. David Lee is starting to ice himself as one of the premier big men in the NBA and he finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds in the win. Both Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari are also making their names this season and both finished well. Chandler finished with 23 points while Gallinari had 20. Al Harrington has also been a solid reliever for the Knicks and he finished with 15 points in just 17 minutes of action. The game was already over a few minutes after it started. The Knicks jumped to a 38-16 first... | |
| | TNT All Decade Votation: Best Buzzer Beaters | | Which do you think is the best buzzer beater for the past decade? TNT is showcasing 6 of the best and most memorable and dramatic buzzer beaters from year 2000 to 2009. Here's the list:1.) Reggie Miller of the Indiana Pacers hitting a three and sending the game to overtime against the New Jersey Nets in 2002. Miller followed it up with a game tying slam dunk in the overtime. The Pacers lost the game though.2.) Robert Horry picking up the lose ball against the Sacramento Kings and hit a game winning three back in 2002.3.) Derek Fisher made a game winning shot against the San Antonio Spurs with just 0.4 seconds left in the clock and saved the powerhouse Lakers to avoid a 1-3 card against the Spurs in the 2004 Western Conference Finals.4.) Chauncey Billups hit a game tying 40-foot three point shot against the New Jersey Nets back in 2004 to send the game to overtime.5.) Kobe Bryant's remarkable performance against the Phoenix Suns. First, Bryant sent the game to overtime with an unbalanced shot against 2 Suns defenders and later in the overtime, Bryant hit the game winning fade away to give the Lakers a 3-1 series lead over the Suns back in 2006. The Suns however... | |
| | Is Allen Iverson still worth the risk? | | Basketball fans know how Allen Iverson's stint with the Detroit Pistons and the Memphis Grizzlies went. Despite his talent, teams never hesitate to say "no" to Iverson because of his attitude issues. Iverson is groomed to follow the footsteps of Latrell Sprewell who thinks too much about himself. Iverson is good, no doubt about it, but he's no longer "The Answer" of old. He's no longer capable of leading teams to the finals but he could help teams reach that far as a support or probably as the second or third option. Iverson's stint with the Denver Nuggets was not that bad but considering the talent that the Nuggets had, they should have made it past the first round with AI.Anyway, after a very brief stint with the Grizzlies, Iverson is out and is heading out the retirement door, too premature considering the steam that he still have left. So far, Iverson's former team, the Philadelphia 76ers, have expressed interest in getting him back. The 76ers are struggling so far and is still in search of an identity. Another AI, Andre Igoudala, is leading the 76ers lately but badly needs more support and better yet mature experience to guide them. Elton Brand has been a disappointment... | |
| | NBA Team Rankings | | 1. Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers are the returning NBA champs and have brought back their major contributers from last season. They also have the addition of Ron Artest who is going to be a defensive presence that some feel the Lakers may still lack at times. Expect another NBA Finals appearance.2. Cleveland Cavaliers
Lebron James still has the bitter taste in his mouth from losing the East Conference Finals last year and coming off an MVP season don't expect him to slow down. The addition of Shaq will pay off as you see them checking into the NBA Finals.3. San Antonio Spurs
Surprised? You shouldn't be. The Spurs still have all the major parts to be and contend for a championship. You have Tim Duncan who know how to win along with Tony Parker who is still one of the premier point guards in the NBA. This team lives and dies with their ability to stay healthy. Outside of Phil Jackson, Gregg Papovich is probably the best coach in the NBA. Expect a WCF appearance and hanging with the Lakers for 6 or 7 games. 4. Boston Celtics
While they aren't getting any younger, the big three can still win and they brought extra fire power this year. The addition of Rasheed Wallace...
