Houston Astros Chances
I love the Houston Astros but I wonder if we have a chance to go to the playoffs or the World Series. Once again Roger Clemens is holding the team up. He says he wants the young guys to take charge. Yes they should, but if he should decide to pitch another half season will it be a good investment or a waste of money? Many people think he wont pitch for the 'Stros but since he has a multi-year personal service contract and his son will be playing in AA, maybe AAA, why would he play for some one else? We do need some good pitchig and some really good bats.

Goodbye Craig Biggio.
I just heard that Craig is retiring at the end of this season. He is a rare breed. A superstar that played the game all out, every play every game, winning or losing. And he did it for the same team his entire career. And he is such a nice person.I will miss him. But I know this isn't goodbye for long because he is going to the Hall Of Fame.
How would you be feeling right now if you were Jason Lane?
I bet that guy has to be sweating about his job, with the signings of Richard Hidalgo and Mark Loretta. Loretta gives us a good option for moving Berkman to the outfield, if needed. And Hidalgo, well, we know he has potential, if he can keep his head on straight. If Burke and Scott work out the way they should/could in the outfield, Lane's job is already precarious. With all this extra insurance, he's got to be really worried about his spot on the team right now. It's pretty disappointing that he hasn't made a big splash in the big leagues so far, with all that minor league success. It must be tough being in his shoes right now.
What is your favorite team?
I follow 3 teams. #1. Texas Rangers, #2. Houston Astros, #3 San Diego Padres. What teams do you like?
A Grand Slam of a Grand Career.
Many of you probably don't follow baseball or the Houston Astros but I do. One of the Astros superstars Craig Biggio yesterday announced his retirement at the end of this season. He is one of the few players who was lucky enough to play his whole career with one team. He has always respected the game, the players and the fans. He is a good guy and we will miss him. After announcing his plans in the afternoon he hit a grand slam home run during the game last night. One of the good guys!
The world series
eho do you think is going to make it it nto it and then who is going to win it. I personaly like the houston astros but theres no chance thatthyell make it. then theres always the red sox who are definatley going to at least get into the playoffs.Well back to my question who do you think is going toget into it and then win it and why?
Which is a bigger problem the bullpen our our offense?
I have never been a Wheeler or Qualls fan, in fact I have grouped them together and now call them Queeller. And Lidge seems to have lost whatever he had, but I am not totally sure that the bullpen is our main concern. Yes, today they gave up seven runs after we were already down 3-0 in the 7th, and yes they blew the first two games of the season, but with the offensive adjustments we have made over the offseason, with Lee and starting Scott, we should be killing the ball and ending games like most American leagues games end (11-7 or something high scoring). Let me hear some of your input about this season for the Houston Astros? What needs to be done?
Baseball Opening Today
Baseball season is upon us! I'm thrilled! We are all looking forward to a good year for our Houston Astros and for second baseman Craig Biggio to reach the 3000 hit plateau. Who is your favorite team and player?
The Astros. Miguel Tejada and Steroids
In recent years, the Houston Astros established a reputation as a good old boy baseball team, free from the taints of controversy that had encumbered other baseball teams and other sports. In 2006, the Astros played for the World Series against the Chicago White Sox, who featured a very explosive, Hispanic manager in Ozzie Gullen and a racially diverse team. When the White Sox swept the Astros 4-0 questions began to simmer about the Astros. People began calling them, the old boy network team, others called them a racist organization to have an all white team in 2006. But others pointed to the fact that with players with squeaky clean reputations like Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell, they steered clear of the steroids taint that had saddled many other teams. They said in the long run the image of old boy respect was worth more. The reputation of a racist organization was unfair. The Astros, in their history were known for some of the best minority players in the game. The (Toy Cannon) Jimmy Wynn, pitcher J. R. Richard, Cesar Cedono, Joe Morgan, and current baseball executive Bob Watson all coarsed through the franchise. But there were reports that the welcome they got was not...
