As WND reported, some of Obama's supporters have regarded him as a Messiah figure, heralding a new age.Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, a powerful Chicago-based political figure associated with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and other long-time associates of Obama, told a crowd in February the Illinois Democrat's rise to power is a sign the Messiah is coming soon."You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth," Farrakhan said. "And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah...
| | What is your favoriate foreign country? | | I like USA, Japan and south korea for people that I know in my real life.Initially, my American teacher really impressed me. He got his bachelor's degree in Dartmouth College and his master's degree in Yale. Before I met him, I had already thought he was a genius, lol. Also, he had never minded taking an extra minute to help us. Well, then, he was a pretty funny guy. I still remember his first class well.
"I am very good looking, huh?" He asked,
"Yup" I said,
" How honest you are!", he said!
I didn't really think so though, it was pretty funny in my opinion!
Besides, I like Japan and south korea since the people that I know are very polite and have good manners. Thus, my best friend comes from south korea.
On the other hand, the United Kingdom is a great nation. I notice that there are British people who are modest as well as kind in mylot. But the guys that I know in my university are kind of proud. They kind of look down upon others. Russian people in my university are kind of messy. But I don't judge others! Finally, I am so ignorant that I kind of know few about other countries.Which foreign country do u feel the best?
| | What do you want to do? Don't quit anyway! | | What do you want to do? Don't quit anyway! Well, I don't mean doing drugs and the like...
When I told my mom I wanted to go to Dartmouth college or something, she tried to talk me out of it. Said I wound't have what it takes to be an international student. The life would sure be tough and that I would find it hard to make it. The way I see, it is a big accomplishment, a superhearo, or something to fulfil one's dream. It feels damn good when u succeed! There comes a moment when it is more than just a game. And u either take that step forward, or turn around and walk away. I could quit, but here is the thing, I love the playing field.
What are you striving for?
I pray and believe you will make it.
| | Living Paycheck to Paycheck | | I just read this article from AOL finance and Associated Press about how more people are trying to live paycheck to paycheck and how it is getting harder to do. Do you live paycheck to paycheck and if so, do you think it is getting harder to do and why? Here is the article if you want to read it.
Living Paycheck to Paycheck Gets Harder

NEW YORK (Oct. 19) - The calculus of living paycheck to paycheck in America is getting harder.
What used to last four days might last half that long now. Pay the gas bill, but skip breakfast. Eat less for lunch so the kids can have a healthy dinner.
Across the nation, Americans are increasingly unable to stretch their dollars to the next payday as they juggle higher rent, food and energy bills. It's starting to affect middle-income working families as well as the poor, and has reached the point of affecting day-to-day calculations of merchants like Wal-Mart Stores Inc., 7-Eleven Inc. and Family Dollar Stores Inc.
Food pantries, which distribute foodstuffs to the needy, are reporting severe shortages and reduced government funding at the very time that they are seeing a surge of new people seeking their help....
| | Mercury Poisoning How Lethal is it? Link to Autism how relevant is it | | So another mylotian got me thinking about something he said. Rather than totally destroy his discussion I thought it was worthy of its own discussion.
Fact One
Thimerosal, a preservative that contains mercury, has been added in very minute amounts to vaccines to prevent their deterioration since the 1930s. No adverse effects of thimerosal have ever been proven, although some allergic reactions have been noted. However, organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics have recommended that the use of thimerosal be reduced as a precautionary measure. Today, with the exception of some flu vaccines, none of the vaccines used in the United States to protect preschool children against twelve infectious diseases contain thimerosal as a preservative.[2][I am allergic to Thiomersal but I do not have autism, I just don't have some vaccinations]Fact TwoPure elemental mercury is a cumulative heavy-metal poison that is moderately absorbed through the skin, rather poorly absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, and readily absorbed as vapor through the lungs. The element is strongly toxic when absorbed as vapor from the respiratory tract, but it is considerably less so...
| | Pentagon Turns to Hollywood for National Security | | Josh Hurd has had a passion for science since high school, but he plans to go to law school after graduating from Dartmouth College."In dealing with environmental issues, it's not the scientists who are influencing policy," he said, "rather, it's the politicians. Scientists don't have that much impact on the actual policy being implemented. Law is where I feel I can make the most difference." That kind of attitude is worrisome to the nation's top researchers — and the Defense Department as well.
As a growing number of top college graduates pursue careers in investment banking, consulting and law, they say the nation is suffering from a dangerous shortage of scientists and engineers. "There are many reasons for this trend, the possibility of a lucrative job right after graduation," said Patricia Rose, director of career services at the University of Pennsylvania. "These jobs are very attractive and pay well."
| | man are from mars, woman are from venice | | God created woman. And boredom did indeed cease from that moment." Friedrich Nietzsche was no feminist, but he apparently appreciated the female mind. He was not the first. Women have been adding zest, wit, intelligence, and compassion to human life since our ancestors stoked their fires in Africa a million years ago. Now women are about to change the world. Why? Because during the millions of years that our forebears traveled in small hunting-and-gathering bands, the sexes did different jobs. Those jobs required different skills. As time and nature tirelessly propagated successful workers, natural selection built different aptitudes into the male and female brain. No two people are the same. But, on average, women and men possess a number of different innate skills. And current trends suggest that many sectors of the twenty-first-century economic community are going to need the natural talents of women. Please do not mistake me. Men have many natural abilities that will be essential in the coming global marketplace. Nor have men been laggards in the past. They have explored and mapped the world; produced most of our literature, arts, and sciences; and invented many of... | |
| | Richard Feynman-For whom theoretical physics was his life. | | Richard Phillips Feynman (May 11, 1918 in Queens, New York – February 15, 1988 in Los Angeles, California) (surname pronounced FINE-man;/'fa?nm?n/ in IPA) was an influential American physicist known for expanding greatly on the theory of quantum electrodynamics, particle theory, and the physics of the superfluidity of supercooled liquid helium. For his work on quantum electrodynamics, Feynman was one of the recipients of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965, along with Julian Schwinger and Shin-Ichiro Tomonaga; in this work, he developed a way to understand the behavior of subatomic particles using pictorial tools now called Feynman diagrams. He helped in the development of the atomic bomb and was later a member of the panel that investigated the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. For all his prolific contributions, Feynman wrote only 37 research papers in his career. Apart from pure physics, Feynman is also credited with the revolutionary concept and early exploration of quantum computing, and publicly envisioning nanotechnology, the ability to create devices at the molecular scale. He held the Richard Chace Tolman professorship in theoretical physics at Caltech.Feynman was... | |
