Colorado Rockies
Ive always been a huge Rockies fan. That best playoff stretch in history they pulled off last season pretty much made my whole year. However, it was pretty lucky (but thats part of baseball). I want to kno what all you baseball fans out there think about the Rockies this 2008 season. Be honest please. Do you think they can pull off another appearance in the world series. Do you think they will win their league? Be in the wild card race once again? Or just totaly suck? i am asking this because ive talked to a few people at work and they both think the rockies will end up in 3rd place in league. I disagree=D. Please let me kno what you think.
Game 1 Reactions
Well, the Red Sox unloaded on the Rockies 13-1 in Game one of the World Series. What did you think about it? I personally believe that it's still only one game and that the Rockies still have a shot. Josh Beckett owned them tonight. I think the Rockies pitching staff I think was shaken up a bit due to nerves and long rest. I think tomorrow will be a closer game and a possible Rockies victory. What's your take?
Surprised
What team, that is in the post season, has surprised you the most?
Playoffs 2007
And the winner will be.... Who are your picks to make it to the World Series? and who will win it all? why?(my pics are Cubbies and Red Sox, w/Cubbies killing their curse! I just think after 100 seasons, it is their time!)
I'm soooo Excited!!!
I don't usually do this but I wanted to let my friends here know that I won't be here tommorrow. I am leaving in the morning with my daughter to go to the Sky Dome it Toronto! She is in her school choir and they are going to be singing the Canadian and American Anthems at the Blue Jay Game versus the Colorado Rockies. So Dont worry if I am not here... and if you get the game on your tv's maybe you will see my daughter lol... her school shirt is huge on her and looks more like a dress on her then a shirt lol They were all one size so she didn't have a choice.:) Anyway I am so excited and very proud of her. Be back here hopefully on Monday and will try and catch up.Have you ever gone to a ball game? Have you ever gotten to sing at something like that?

Phillies in the Playoffs!!
Just curious that there has been so little posting on the baseball playoffs. The Phillies are my favorite team and it was a little bit of a nail biter but now they are in the Playoffs against the Colorado Rockies starting on Wednesday. Any baseball fans out there that want to predict the outcome? I obviously will be bias in my answer with Philadelphia as World Series Champs!
Why is so important to say goodbye.....
We had the funeral and celebration of life with my birth father in law on Monday and Tuesday. It was an emotional couple of weeks for us...and it got me to thinking about burial rites and why we feel they are so important to do them and how we do them. Dave and his deceased wife made the decision to be cremated and so today we went to the mountains and spread their mingled ashes on a mountain side where they camped and fished...a beautiful calm place filled with wildflowers and aspen. I thought how absolutely perfect this was for a man that loved the Colorado Rockies so very much. The funeral service was simply put...amazing. They made us laugh so hard that I couldn't stop giggling...and cried and told so many stories....it was soothing to our bruised and battered souls. And our friends came two hours away to a funeral of someone they'd never met...and really got a taste of Dave our lost dad. I know it seems weird that we could mourn the loss of a birth dad we'd only known for 4 yrs but the fact is; we fell in love with him the first time we met. It was such a joyful experience..... So Why was it? Why is saying goodbye so important? I mean after all; we were with Dave when...
Rockies vs. Red Sox
This series could be the best series in baseball history. The Colorado Rockies, winners of 21 of their last 22 games, against the Boston Red Sox, with the best pitcher and most powerful line-up in the game. Many will concider this to be an easy win for the Red Sox. Hold the phone though, the Rockies took a 3 game series from the Red Sox earlier this year, at Fenway Park. And the Rockies just didn't face anyone in Boston's strong rotation. They faced the knuckleballer Tim Wakefield, the new Mr. October Josh Beckett, and the postseason master, Curt Schilling. The Rockies, a team with virtually a bunch of nobody's, have truly defined the word "team" by coming up with clutch hitting and precision pitching. The Rockies also swept through the playoffs knocking off the heavily favored Philidelphia Phillies in the Divisional round and then took care of the best team in the National League, the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies are on a roll like no one has ever seen before. Can they sweep the series? I don't think so. I can see them losing Game 1 because of the 8 day lay off. However, the Red Sox have been down this road before. In 2004, they swept the Angels then went down 3-0 to the...
The 2007 World series...
So I'm just curious on who everyone is rooting for in Baseballs world series? It's the Colorado Rockies VS. the Boston Red Sox. Which team do you think deserves to win? I'm not a big baseball junkie but I do like to watch the world series. I'm really unsure at which team to root for because i really dont care for both. I guess of the two I'd have to choose Red Sox. What about you?
