Who do you think is the most indespensible player on the Boston Red Sox?
Who do you think has proven themselves the most this year and has shown themselves to be a real major leager? There are so many amazing players on the team, it is difficult to come up with just one. I am torn between Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis. Both have a ton of heart, you can tell they both really love baseball and their team. Their is just something about Pedroia. I have never seen a game go by where his baseball jersey isn't covered in dirt. He is short for a baseball player, being only five foot nine. That means he has had to work all that much harder to prove himself. That's why he is my first choice although Kevin Youkilis is not far behind. With these two players, I think we can go real far. What do you guys think? What would be your choice and why?
Do you think the Boston Red Sox can lodge a comeback and make it to post season?
I know the Red Sox have really been struggling lately. To think they were 5 ahead in the American Leage East not too long ago. Now things look like they may be starting to come together. Do you think they have a chance to go on the win the World Series? Or at least make it to the post season? I think they have a good chance. They are known for their comebacks, so I have all the faith in them? What do you guys think?
Boston Red Sox
I love the Red Sox. I watch all the games I can. My favorite team players are Big Papi and Manny Ramirez.
boston red sox world series sweep
as many of you know the red sox won the world series they won like 4 game in a row. i live in new york but im not a yankee fan or a mets fan because they are the worst teams in the history of baseball.Mets didnt even make it to the playoffs, yankees lost almost every game in the playoffs and didnt make it to the world series.
Free Taco Courtesy The Boston Red Sox: Are You Getting Yours?
Okay, some of you might not care but I thought of something cool. Give your free taco away. The Boston Red Sox short stop (I think it was) stole a base in yesterday's World Series game which meant that Taco Bell will give a free taco to everyone in America. Yikes!! I guess they're hoping that we would buy more food to go along with that taco. In any case maybe we should get our tacos and give it to some homeless kids. Sounds like a plan. Are you getting your free taco? October 30th from 3:00PM to 5:00 PM.
2007-04-19 Toronto Blue Jays (Halladay) vs. Boston Red Sox (Tavarez)
Halladay as always, is going to be called in to pitch the Jays to a win after a loss. This will put them back into first place, and I am hoping that he even lowers his ERA into Cy Young position (I know it's early in the season) The Jays will look to win a series against the Red Sox at home, and I think they have an 85% chance of doing it. I hope the confidence of having Halladay on the mound wakes up the bats. They say that you are screwed for a few days after facing a Knuckle-baller as he will throw you off track. Let's try and inflate Tavarez's 9.00 ERA
I cant wait for baseball season!
I'm going to go see the Mariners at least ten times. I wanna take everyone with me.Who would you bring to a baseball game? Who wouldnt you bring? Why?
2007-04-18 Toronto Blue Jays (Okha) vs. Boston Red Sox (Wakefield)
So far this season, in preview, it seems like this is the game the Blue Jays have the lowest chance of winning. I still think they have a 40% shot (which is really good considering it's their toughest game) but so far this year, their other games have been very winnable, including 2 blown saves by BJ Ryan already (and we're still in first) Tonight it will be Okha (who has pitched very poorly so far) against Wakefield (who is good, but probably not as good as his record so far), Wakefield is the type of pitcher who each batter either has a lot of success on or has little success on (and has pitched 40 times against the Blue Jays). A bonus for the Jays - if they can inflate Wakefield's ERA enough, Towers can move up into the top 20, and Halladay into the top 25 in the major leagues. (5 runs should be more than enough to do that and win). Okha will be looking for redemption from 2 sub-par starts given his spring. Also, he'll probably want to show his old team a thing or two. What are your thoughts on the game?
Toronto Blue Jays (Chacin) vs. Boston Red Sox (Matsuzaka)
Dice-K is coming to town and he's about to learn how he measures up against a team full of major-league batters, including Adam Lind who will be filling in for Reed Johnson for a while it seems.Dice-K will have the advantage as there is not much of a scouting report on him, and will probably shut down the Blue Jays very well for the first 3 innings while he goes through the order the first time. He may even keep them off the board for 5 innings when he goes through the rotation the second time. By the time we get into the 6th, we'll know what he's doing and I am sure that hitters will be able to do something about it. (This is the type of game where you will really miss Carlos Delgado because of the way he approaches his at-bats).Hopefully, by then, Chacin would have pitched very well and the Jays won't have too deep a hole to climb out of. Chacin is 5-0 against the Red Sox in his career despite having a 4+ ERA. This game will most likely be decided in the bullpens (unless Chacin does bad).On the plus side, despite the lack of scouting reports on him, Dice-K is allowing a .240 batting average against him, and he hasn't faced a team like the Blue Jays. Hopefully Frank...
