| Boise State -- National Champions! | | I am here this evening to declare that Boise State is the third team to have won the national Be Our Best (B.O.B.) college football champioship 2006.Boise State was one of four teams that were invited to play January 1, with the winners returning on January 8 to play for the national B.O.B. championship. The proposed matchups were to be Florida vs Ohio State and Michigan vs Boise State. However, since all four schools decined the invitation, the national champion was declared by a private vote of the BOB panelists, which consists of college football enthusiasts.When asked about the contriversial choice, B.O.B. founder and panelist Bob Aagard had this to say: "When it comes right down to it, Boise State had the best record. Unlike the other polls, we take into consideration the teams' records, and we don't discriminate based on region or conference. | | Boise State - Undefeated in 2006 - Unbelievable | | Can you beleive it? Boise State was 12-0 and managed to beat Oaklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl to go 13-0. 22 points combined between them in the final 86 seconds of regulation. What a game. And the excitement continued into OT.And to answer my own question, I think that if Ohio State loses the national title game that the Broncos should share the title with either the Gators or the Buckeyes but I think that they'll end up ranked 3 or 4. | |

| | BCS Controversy?? | | So now that we have one undefeated(Boise State) team, why is there no clamor for them to be number one. Why is everyone silent about the teams that are cut out of contention by the BCS? Is it because they arent in a major conference that is making the big money from the BCS? Boise St. has as much right to claim the national championship as USC did when they weren't Champs but ESPN decided they deserved the title. | |

| Florida Gators win the BCS! | | Can you believe the game last night?? I wanted and thought Ohio State would easily win this one, because I like Penn State and was rooting for the Big Ten.
